Nepal needs urgent help following devastating flash floods.
On Wednesday, 26 August 2026, devastating flash flooding struck parts of Nepal’s Rasuwa district, following a sudden surge of water into the Bhote Koshi River from the Tibet.
The flooding struck with little warning, leaving communities devastated. Lives have been lost, hundreds of people are reported missing and thousands of families have been affected. Homes, livelihoods and essential belongings have been swept away, leaving survivors facing an uncertain and extremely difficult future.
Families have lost everything. They need help now.
Many people are without safe shelter, food, clean water, cooking equipment, warm clothing and essential medical support. Families who were living ordinary lives only days ago are now facing the unimaginable loss of loved ones, homes and livelihoods.
